Review | Seventeen - Stay Time Concealer

16:30

After running low on my usual go to concealer that is Rimmel's 'Wake Me Up Concealer', I thought it was about time I invested in a new one. Also I decided to go for something different this time round to really help combat those dark circles. I browsed round the internet, looking at other people's reviews on particular concealers and asking for recommendation's on twitter. In the end, I went out and purchased Seventeen - Stay Time in extra fair.

My first impressions of this concealer was that I was slightly put off by the strong slight chemical scent it had to it. I much prefer products that have more of a fruity or more enjoyable scent to them as it can be sometimes off putting when a product doesn't smell too good. Aside from that, I was really impressed with the doe foot applicator. I find these applicators really easy to use.

In regards to colour choice, extra fair is the perfect shade for paler skin tones. It doesn't have any orange tones to it, which is great if you are after something to help lighten areas of your face. This concealer works really well in achieving this. It really helped to brighten my under eye circles, as well as minimize any redness on my face.

The formula isn't as thick as other concealers I have tried. However it does have a slight creamy feel to it. I love how easy it is to blend also. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the skin. It feel's light. In terms of staying power, Seventeen claims that it is supposed to last for up to 18 hours. I have to disagree with this statement. I would say it lasts without touch ups for around 5/6 hours, which is nowhere near the 18 hour mark.

Even though this concealer was so affordable at being only £4.49 and had many positives to it, I was unfortunately left disappointed with this product. After a few uses, my skin reacted badly to it and I had a massive break out. Therefore, I won't be using this product again. However, if you are after a really affordable concealer, that suits fairer skin tones, brightens dark areas easily and has a great formula to it, then I would suggest investing and trying out this concealer for yourself.

Have you tried this concealer? What's your favourite concealer?
