Night Time Skin Care Routine

The last few months, I have been trying really hard to up my skin care game. I never really use to take much interest in taking care of my skin  (I know, how gross am I?). That was until I started to get more and more spots. I knew I needed to make a change. I went on the hunt for some different type of new products to try out and have been able to create a routine that I go by most nights. This has allowed me to see major changes in my skin.

Today I'm going to give you the inside scoop on my little night time skin care routine, including the products I use, why I use them and the difference they have made on the appearance and feel of my skin.

The first step in my night time skin care routine is to cleanse my face. When wearing a full face of make-up during the day, I find this step really necessary to do to not only remove my make-up from my face, but also remove any dirt. I use to only use make-up wipes to remove my make-up which isn't enough in my opinion to do the job you want it to do. So instead I use the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish to cleanse my face. I love this cleanser. It's brilliant. It not only removes make-up and dirt, but it is also great for leaving the skin feeling smooth and radiant. My skin always feel so soft after using this. It's also great for any skin type and age, as well as somewhat an affordable price for more of a high end brand.

As mentioned, make-up wipes use to be a thing of the past for me in terms of removing my make-up. However, I do like to keep these Simple Facial Wipes to the side for times when I might possibly need them. Such as when removing eye make-up like mascara, since I don't particularly like liquid based products near by eyes as they sometimes irritate them. They're also really great for those more lazy times, when you're too tired to do a proper cleanse and you just want to climb into bed to sleep. C'mon we've all been there. Also I find these Simple wipes are not drying like other face wipes, they're really revitalising and remove make-up with ease. After using the Liz Earle cleanser, I like to wipe one of these over my face to remove any last dirt and it also is very cooling for the face. I'd highly recommend these wipes!

After my cleanse, I like to then moisturise my face. The moisturiser I am currently using is the Dove Rich Nourishment Cream. I have a tendency to get quite dry skin around my nose and on my forehead. But this moisturiser works great in preventing that and keeping my skin feeling so soft. For a rich product, the texture feel's light and doesn't feel thick or sticky on the skin.

Speaking of moisturiser, I like to apply some body butter on my body a few times a week just to keep my skin moisturised and feeling it's best. I'm a massive fan of Soap and Glory so it's no surprise that The Righteous Butter is part of my skin care routine. This is a really great product for doing exactly what it say's. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. Again another product that isn't too sticky and soaks into the skin well, you don't have to wait ages for it to dry, you can just slip your pyjama's on over the top with no problem. It also smell's so good with that original Soap and Glory smell. A great product!

A few times a week, I also like to use a face mask to increase my skin care and get rid of any spots that might have appeared through out the week. This face mask from Lush called Cupcake, which I did a few review on last month here, is one of my go to mask's currently. It work's really well in minimizing the appearance of spots, bringing out your impurities and helping to clear up teenage skin. I also find this to be the most relaxing part of my night time skin care routine, as I can just sit down for five/ten minutes with a mask on and chill out.

What's your night time skin care routine like? Any product recommendations?
