Travel Make-up Bag
When you're reading this, I shall be on my way back from my little trip away and hopefully will have hopefully used most of these products on my week away. It was only a four hour trip away to North Yorkshire/Newcastle for a few days with my family for the first time in years. This is the reason why this post is going up a day late (apologies for that.) So I thought why not share with you guys the products I have taken and (hopefully) been using over the week. Most of the products are used in my daily make-up routine, so I guess this is two posts in one in some way.

BASE -
The primer I tend to reach for is the Nivea Daily Essentials Hydration Express Primer for dry and sensitive skin. This primer is not only great for ensuring my make stays in place for as long as possible, but it's also really great for my skin. I started using this when I went through a bad stage of having dry skin and even now it's calmed down a lot, I still find myself using this product. Moving onto foundation, I have recently fallen back in love with the Rimmel Wake Me Up in 100 Ivory. I used this a few years back and don't understand why I ever stopped. It creates such a natural yet dewy looking base, which is my absolute favourite finish and it has an easy build able medium coverage. This foundation is perfect for summer not only because of the look it creates, but also because it contains SPF15 which helps to protect the skin when in the sun.

The concealers I reach for daily and have brought with me in my travel make-up bag are the NYX HD Photogenic in 01 Porcelain for brightening my under eyes and the Rimmel Wake Me Up in 101 Ivory for any blemishes/redness. The NYX concealer is great for minimising dark circles with  it's creamy, super easy to blend and none creasing formula. Where as Wake Me Up is great for covering any imperfections by also being easy to blend and creating a none sheer coverage.

 EYES -
Starting with brows, I have recently got back into using one of the eye shadows from the Naked Basics palette #1 to fill in my brows. I use to do this all the time and I've started to do it again. The shade I use is called Faint and it's a great colour match to my brows, as well as creating a really defined brow. The other brow product I am going to bringing with me is the Soap & Glory brow archery tint and pencil. I've talked about this a few times on my blog already, but it honestly so great for creating natural yet defined brows.

As I'm not much of an all out eye shadow wearer, I do tend to stick to my nude tones and sometimes like to add a pop of colour all over to do something different. Since I'm already bringing the Naked Basics to fill in my brows, I love to use the shades Foxy and Venus on my lids. Foxy is kind of like my base and I use it to set in any foundation that has gone over my lids. Then I like to use Venus in my inner corners to make my eyes pop. As I said, if I'm feeling like something different and want to add some colour, the one I've been reaching for and obsessed with is Kiko Water Eye shadow - 208 Light Gold, which I had been original using as a highlight but I actually love it on my eyes too. I'm still yet to try it damp, but I love how pigmented it is and how it gives such a gorgeous champagne look to my eyes. I think this will get a lot of wear out of when we go out in the evenings and more dressier-casual days.

I don't wear much eyeliner anymore since it made my under eyes look quite dark and I still haven't mastered the winged liner yet (please someone teach me!!!). So of course the last part of my eyes that needs to be done and the one mascara I am taking with me is my beloved Maybelline Lash Sensational. I could go on for ages about how great this mascara it is. The volume, length and curl it creates is so perfect! I'm always reaching for it and this holiday will be no different.

FINISH -
As you probably can tell from the above photos, I am taking with me quite a few highlight options but if you know me and have been a reader of my blog for a while, you'll know how obsessed I am with highlighters. I recently got the Sleek Solstice palette so I want to bring that with me to try it out more and wear the colours because they're all so stunning and amazingly pigmented. Also I have to bring my trusty Mary-Lou Manizer highlight for a gorgeous bright champagne look to my face. I like to use this over the top of the Collection Speedy highlighter to set the cream product into place. Sometimes I also like to use the Collection highlight on it's own for a subtle yet glowy look. This will be great for more relaxed days.

For blush options, I have gone to two of my favourites from my collection and both are great for the summer. The first is the Sleek - Rose Gold blush. This is a great dupe for NARS - Orgasm. It's the perfect bright pink colour with snippets of shimmery coral running through it. This is so pigmented and look's so stunning on the cheeks. The other blush I am taking is the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher - Glowing Mauve. This is a very pigmented bright fushia pink that creates a really healthy glow to the cheeks. Because of how pigmented it is you really don't need a lot of this, so you can imagine how long this lasts all day on the cheeks. One I'll be reaching for on long days out. For bronzer, my go to product always is Benefit's Hoola bronzer. This bronzer is amazing for light skin tones, it's not at all orange-toned and it creates such a light bronze look if used all over or a great defined look for contouring.

Finally for lipsticks I am going be taking with me four options, because a girl can never bring too many, right? My go to nude option is the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate Moss - 03. This is a must have lipstick for a 90's lip. This will be great for everyday wear. Another everyday lipstick I'll be reaching for is Mac's Brave. A satin finish lipstick, not completely matte, but dries slightly matte and has a creamy feel to it. It's such a pretty rosy-nude colour and one I couldn't not bring with me! The other options I will be bringing with me include the NYX butter gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie for a pretty bright pink glossy look for more natural days and Mac's Snob my favourite Spring/Summer lip. Another satin finish and one that is perfect for creating bright lilac undertone pink statement lips.

And to set everything into place I am going to be using the NYX finishing spray - dewy finish to enhance that glowy/dewy look I absolutely love. The more I use this setting spray, the more I find it working the way it is suppose to and setting my make-up in place for most of the day. I'd definitely recommend this and it's a must for Summer weather!

What do you like to take in your travel make-up bag?
