10 Pieces You Can Wear Now & Next Season
16:30
Shopping during this time of the year can be hard when you get to that in between season, where we're approaching the end of the summer, but it's still not quite yet autumn. You find yourself wondering aimlessly around the shops or scrolling through pages online, wondering what to buy and if you'll get much wear out of it as we transition into a new season. Today's post is going to be 10 pieces you can buy to wear now and continue on wearing through into the next season making your shopping experience a little easier.
Who said sweatshirts/jumpers are only suppose to be worn during autumn/winter? You can easily get away with one during the warmer months, particularly on chillier days when you need an extra cover up. This Shell Pink Velvet Sweatshirt is the perfect piece to wear this time of the year and also wear next season too. The colour of this item is so pretty and can easily be paired with a pair of denim shorts or a skirt in the summer, then some ripped denim jeans in the autumn. Another great throw on piece for cooler days is the Block-patterned Poncho that consists of a mixture of summer and autumn colours. You can wear this during the summer when it gets colder in the evenings when you're sitting outside with friends or at a festival, where as in the autumn you could throw this on as an extra layer with a jumper or a longer sleeved top.
One trend that has been around a lot lately and would be great to wear through this transition period is layering. Take a simple top like the White High Neck Blouse and pair it with the Black-sateen Slip Dress to create a layered style look. Both these pieces are on trend individually and together make a great look. The blouse will work so well going into autumn when it starts getting a little colder, whilst the slip dress will work perfectly on it's own also during the summer period. Another obvious way to layer up is by throwing on a jacket, one that is very on trend right now and appropriate for those average temperature kind of days is the bomber jacket. One like the Stone Padded Bomber above is not only a great all round colour, but also lightweight and very versatile. You can pair this piece with absolutely everything in your wardrobe and use it to finish off your look.
Another way to stay on trend this year and also pick pieces that will work well for this season, as well as the next is to incorporate some form of floral design into your wardrobe. Floral's work all year round. This Winter Floral Tea Dress is the perfect dress to wear all year round. The tea dress style screams femininity and can be worn for many different occasions, from a summer garden party to a rainy autumn coffee date. Another floral piece to add to your wardrobe is the popular embroidery design that you can find everywhere at the moment. These Dark Embroidered Mom Jeans are also perfect for all year round, which makes them summer into autumn appropriate. The colours on these jeans don't single out one particular season either, they're a must for the upcoming season so get them early and wear them now!
Other picks you can easily wear now and into next season are the classic striped t-shirt. Another piece that has been super popular over the spring/summer. Again it is not going anywhere into the new season, invest in a new colour or style for the next season if you already own one. If you don't already own a striped t-shirt, then they're a massive wardrobe essential. They're super easy to style. Accessories also have to come into consideration this time of the year, is it too soon to be whacking out your favourite scarf or autumn bag? Start off slow and ease yourself into it. Picking up a pair of tanned boots like these Chestnut Suede Chelsea Ankle Boots are a great place to start. These can easily be worn all year round with a plaid shirt and some denim shorts in the summer, then as we progress into autumn pair it with a comfy knit and jeans. Also another item to go for that works well in both summer and autumn is a Black Floppy Hat. Great for protecting your head in the sun, but also good at keeping your hair from blowing around in the wind during the autumn months.
What have you been buying lately? Do you find shopping this time of the year hard?
