How To Disguise A Bad Hair Day
We've all been there. We've all had at least one day when we've had a bad hair day and if you say you haven't, then you clearly must be lying. There's nothing worse than when you're in a rush or have an important day ahead of you when you're running around like a headless chicken trying to get ready, you come to sort out your hair and for whatever reason it just won't go right. You're having one of those days we like to call a bad hair day and you have no idea how to deal with the problem. However there a few tips I'm going to share with you that you might want to try to disguise your bad hair day.
1. Dry shampoo!!! - Dry shampoo is literally my best friend when it comes to bad hair days. It is something I like to call the hair savour. Not only is it great for those days when you don't have time to to get rid of those greasy roots (c'mon, we all spray some in their when we need a freshen up!), but it is also great for creating texture and volume.  Dry shampoo will give you the option to restyle your hair however you want it, as well as giving it a more refreshed and cleaner appearance.

2. Curl it - Aside from shampoo, this is also what I do on bad hair days or when my hair is in need of washing, but I don't have the time to, so I normally have to wait till later. I'll spray the dry shampoo in to give it that much needed texture and a cleaner look, then I'll curl my hair with a curling wand to create some waves or curls, depending on whether I want thicker or looser waves in my hair. I also believe having the waves in the mid lengths and ends of your hair takes a lot of attention away from your dirty roots, averting people's eyes to your curls rather than what's going on the top of your head.

3. Braid it - Most of us have been sporting the dutch braid look over the past few months and there's absolutely no problem with that! In fact, this hair style is great for bad hair days. It get's your hair off your face, in a controlled yet pretty hair style and also is something a little different to the bog standard up or down look you might opt for throughout your daily routine. Of course you don't have to go for dutch braids, you could braid only the top section of your head, you could do one big chunky french braid, a fishtail braid, literally whatever you like! Have fun with  it.

4. Messy bun - Everyone know's the messy bun! It's a firm favourite and also one much like the dutch braids, get's all your hair off and out of your face. The brilliant thing about this style of bun is that you can do it as effortlessly and messy as you want. It doesn't have to be perfect. That's the whole point of it and why it works so well in disguising a bad hair day. Also it's great for when you're in a rush and just need to stick your hair up asap before you leave the house. Problem sorted!

5. Put on a hat - Now I know that not all of us will enjoy wearing hats, I have to admit I sometimes don't have the confidence to rock my fedora and sometimes during the colder months I feel like a beanie really doesn't suit me. But putting on a hat is an obvious way to disguise a bad hair day. This piece will cover up anything you don't want people seeing, whether that's oily roots, frizzy mid lengths or an uneven part. In the spring/summer go for a floppy sun hat to hide that bad hair day, whilst in the autumn/winter go for a knitted beanie.

6. Part it a different way - Finally one I would have never would thought would do the job, but does work is parting your hair a different way. If you have a centre part, move it to the side or completely forget the part all together, push it all back. The same applies if you have a side part. Parting it a different way like the curls will take the attention of the roots if this is where your biggest problem is lying on your bad hair day, instead replacing it with something else to focus on and a different area that isn't as bad as before.
