Summer 2016 Makeup Favourites
Now it's coming toward's the end of the summer, I thought it was only right I highlighted some of my favourite makeup products I've been loving this summer. Most you will probably have seen on my blog before if you're an avid reader, but even so here are some of the products I have been using a lot this summer and have basically been obsessed with!

Summer 2016 Makeup Favourites
This summer was the period in which I started to try more and more cream products. Before then they had kind of scared me a little, but I now find them so much easier to control compared with powder based products. Packaged in a gold, sleek and compact way, this gorgeous rosy pink colour from Kiko has been the perfect flush of colour I've needed on my cheeks throughout the warmer weather. Plus I got this in the sale when I was on holiday, so it was a great bargain find.

Probably one of my all time favourite products of the year so far and probably half of the beauty world who won this palette may agree with me on this one. The Sleek Solstice palette is one of the best highlighting products I've come across. All four shades are highly pigmented, long lasting and super creamy. They are easy to apply and create such a beautiful glow to the skin. I couldn't live without this palette! Plus how dreamy is the gold metallic packaging?! A massive bargain at only £9.99!!!

It surprises me that I once used this as a highlighter as opposed to an eye shadow! Even though it is known as an eye shadow, I bought this with the aim of using it as a highlighter. Instead I have been using it so much as it's main purpose. An eye shadow. This product has rekindled my love for wearing eye shadows and I finally feel I have found an eye shadow that look's relativity alright on me. It creates such a golden shimmery look to my eyes, bringing out the green tones and brightening my eyes as whole. The pigmentation is also so good.

As you can tell now, I have been getting more and more into wearing eye shadows. Since I have been making much use of the NYX counter in my local boots store, I picked up one of the Hot Singles Eye Shadows in the shade Sin. These shadows only retail at £3.50 so they're super affordable for the good quality they produce. Sin is a stunning light neutral pink colour with hints of shimmer running through it. I've already picked up more of these singles since. Definitely recommend!

Another product range that everyone in the beauty world went crazy for, the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips. I got the shade Kim K.W which is a pretty peachy pinky nude colour. This shade in particular is very nourishing and creamy on the lips. Because of this it isn't as long lasting as I would have hoped for, but nonetheless I've been loving wearing this throughout the past month or so of the summer. Another product that has such stunning packaging with all the gold details. I did a review of this product just a few weeks ago, so if you want to read a full version then please click here

How could I have ever lived without a finishing spray in my makeup routine? It it's a massive essential now and one I always try to remember to spritz on my finished face at the end. Not only is it somewhat refreshing during the warmer parts of the year, but it also great at helping to keep your makeup in tact for longer. I opted for the dewy version of this spray due to the fact I love a glowy/dewy look. Although I can't see it aiding much to this look, overall I do love this spray and it's been a great essential this summer.

I never have been a huge fan of lip glosses, but the NYX butter glosses have definitely changed everything. I love how creamy and nourishing these feel on the lips. They're not sticky at all, which is one of the main reasons I stay away from glosses. But the butter glosses thankfully avoid this. Vanilla Cream Pie is a bright pink colour that need's to be built up a couple of times to get the full advantage of this gloss.

For the longest time I had been trying to find a concealer that worked well for me, this summer I finally believe that I have found one I absolutely love and will continue to repurchase. Another NYX product (guilty...) but I'm a massive fan of the NYX HD Concealer. I went for the lightest shade in this product to really brighten my under eyes and this does the job so perfectly. Another really creamy and super easy to blend concealer. Also it's so so so affordable!

I swear this post isn't all Kiko and NYX....haha! But I also have been loving wearing the Creamy Lip Gloss by Kiko in the shade Pearly Strawberry Pink. This has been a great reach for product for lazy make-up days and when I don't want to wear too much on my lips. These are super nourishing and pigmented in colour. Pearly Strawberry Pink is a really rosy nude colour that enhances your natural lip colour adding a glossy effect to them.

This foundation I loved a long time ago and this year I fell straight back in love with it! Not only it is affordable, but it creates a healthy glowy look to your skin. The coverage of this is medium and can easily be built up to a higher coverage. I'd say this last's a good few hours, probably around the 6 hour mark. I don't think I'm going to be letting go of this product into the autumn season.
