Autumn Fashion Essentials
I'm sure if you're reading this, then you are probably obsessed with all things Autumn and the fashion that comes with it! Think big cosy knits, chunky boots, faux fur details and dashes of autumnal colour for all to see. I wanted to share with you some of the Autumn Fashion Essentials that I currently have in my wardrobe and what I am going to be wearing throughout the next couple of months.
- A cosy scarf
You cannot go through Autumn without owning a cosy scarf to wrap around your neck and snuggle into during those cold mornings. A scarf is a major Autumn wardrobe essential. Sometimes you don't even have to restrict yourself to owning just one scarf, it is the season to go all out when it comes to layering and keeping warm so don't be afraid of building up a collection. They're a great versatile piece and can be styled with so many different looks. If you're going for a basic look and want your scarf to be your statement piece, then go for something fun and full of print! For something more comfortable and appropriate for the cold weather, opt for a chunky knitted style for extra cosiness. Also don't think you can only wear your scarf during the day, you can rock this piece throughout the evening to by going for more faux fur options for a touch of glamour to your outfits.
- An oversized jumper
Everything's going to be bigger and baggier during the colder months! An oversized jumper is a major wardrobe essential for Autumn. You're very spoilt for choice when it comes to this style of clothing since there is so many different oversized jumpers out there. This also means you can have as many in your wardrobe as you like since it's such an effortless and easy piece to wear. Wear it simple with a pair of jeans, chunky boots and a leather jacket or dress it up tucked into a leather skirt and some pointed flats. I'm currently lusting over an oversized knitted jumper in a light grey or dusky pink colour.
- A faux leather skirt
A recent addition in my wardrobe for Autumn is a faux leather skirt. I have been wanting one of these for so long and I'm so glad I finally own one. As mentioned, you can easily pair this piece with a cosy jumper, as well as many other fabulous top garment pieces. It's so easy to wear and can suit so many different events. For more smarter/dressier occasions, throw on a button up shirt for office style vibes. On relaxed days go for the jumper option or a basic t-shirt for a relaxed feel. Plus you can also wear this piece with whatever shoes you like also and throw on some tights over the top for extra warmth.

- A beanie hat
I'm not the massive fan of hats, I don't personally think they suit me, but I want to start experimenting more out of my comfort zone when it comes to fashion. During this time of the year, a beanie hat is a great place to start. Beanie hats never go out of style. They're a classic outer wear option during the colder months. They're great for hiding bad or dirty hair days. Plus they keep you warm whilst looking super cute on your head and going well with your Autumnal themed outfit. They come in a range of styles and textures. As you can see from the image above, my favourite is a mustard coloured knit option with a faux fur bobble on top. How cute!
- A pair of chunky boots
What is Autumn without a pair of boots? They're an absolute must in everybody's wardrobe! Again, you can never have too many pairs of this form of footwear. I discussed in my Autumn Shoe Edit what boot's are on trend right now, which include over the knee boots, blocked heel boots, a mixture of textures like animal print and velvet, as you can see the options are endless. Like most pieces within this essentials post, you can pair chunky boot's with absolutely everything and they can be worn for so many occasions throughout the colder period. A cosy jumper dresser is a great option with tights, a big cosy scarf and your favourite jacket. Or pair it with the other essentials listed.
- A trench coat
Trench coats are absolutely perfect for Autumn! They work so well for layering and using as a light weight outwear option. Since they're pretty thin, you can easily wear a cosy knit underneath and wear it as a layer over the top of extra warmth on chiller days. On warmer days, they also work well as a light weight option because you won't get too overheated in them. Also they are great for rainy days, when you need something light weight but will also keep you dry. Plus they add a touch of sophistication and style to any look, taking you from each event at any time of the day! They also work well with everybody's shape since they're so versatile and can be worn open or closed
