Autumn/Winter Lip Picks
As soon as Autumn came round, I couldn't wait to start wearing my darker lip shades again. I wanted to share with you in today's post my favourite Autumn/Winter lip picks for this year. There's an assortment of berry and nudes tones within my selection. Apart from the MAC lipsticks, the other choices are all drugstore and very affordable. So I'm sure they'll at least be one shade within my favourites that you're going to love!
After the snapchat filter with the shades and the muted brown lip, I and the rest of Social Media went on the hunt to find a lip product that matched this nude. I came across the NYX Matte Lipstick in the shade Butter and instantly knew it was a great match. This comes up as a light brown nude colour on my skin tone. As you can probably tell by the name, this is a matte lipstick, so it's perfect for keeping with the trends and also this time of the year. In terms of formula it's self, it isn't drying at all and feel's so creamy and light on the lips, so much so that you can't even notice it is there. The stay time on this is great too. It doesn't wear very much with meals or drinks, so you can get away with wearing this throughout the day with no real problems. Overall, I'm obsessed with this lipstick and have already been wearing it lot's!!!

Mac Lipstick - Diva
One that I got for Christmas last year and soon became a quick favourite is Diva by Mac. This vamp inspired shade definitely stems to the bold side of things. It's a very dark berry red kind of colour, which I believe almost everyone would be able to pull off. With a matte finish, that isn't too drying and a long staying power, this is one of my go to berry shades for the colder months. The only downside to this lipstick is that it can be quite prone to smudging. To avoid this I'd recommend either being super careful with your application or putting a lip liner on underneath.

MUA Lipstick- Shade 2
This lipstick I purchased when I started experimenting with more bolder and purple shades. I wanted something super affordable to use to see if the purple berry tones suited me. This retails at only one pounds. How affordable, is that?! Not really expecting a lot from a more cheaper priced lipstick, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this lipstick and this product definitely kick started my love for berry tones. Rather than a matte finish like the two lipstick above, this is more on the creamy side. It glides on the lips so effortlessly and feel's so nourishing. The pigmentation of this is also so good and the stay power lasts for a decent few hours. I'd really recommend this lipstick for anyone on a budget or wanting to experiment with purple shades!

Mac Lipstick - Brave
The easy to wear shade and one that is so pretty for all seasons is Mac's Brave. This lipstick is known as one of the many Kylie Jenner lip favourites. Brave is a rosy-pink colour, that is more your lips but better which suits so many skin tones. It's such a pretty shade. It's my favourite finish of all the Mac lipstick's, a satin finish, so it's a semi-matte. It has more of a creamier feel to it, so it's not as drying as the matte finish is. This lipstick last's around 6/7 hours on the lips and the pigmentation is great quality like most Mac lipsticks are.

NYX Liquid Suede - Vintage
The next one is the newest lipstick in my collection. It's another NYX product and it's part of their liquid suede range. 'Vintage' is a warm toned maroon shade, with the tube looking a lot darker than the actual product it's self. This liquid lipstick has a good pigmentation to it, but I do find it does need a couple of applications to get the full colour pay off. As you can see, there's also some fading in the middle section of my lip area which is my only criticism about this product. Apart from that, I love the maroon colour and how I don't own anything quite like it. Even though it feel's sticky in the drying stages, once it is dry it doesn't feel this way at all and doesn't feel dry like some matte products do. It's more on the creamy side. Vintage last's for around 5/6 hours on the lips and then you start noticing the uneven parts start to appear more. This is definitely one for those who want to experiment and go bold this Autumn/Winter season.
