A Guide To The Best Party Season Outfit Picks

08:00

This season of all things party is soon approaching with office parties and social gatherings taking place for the Christmas and New Year period, I thought I would put together a guide of the latest party season pieces out there and outfit options you could go for. Think lot's of sparkle, lace, seasonal shades, on trend pleats and velvet, choker style necks and flattering shapes, this party season outfit guide will help you dance the night away with these wonderful pieces. Be sure to have a good flick through because there's lots to choose from!
A seasonal party dress is always a go to option for most of us! Whether this is the classic little black dress, a delicate lace piece or something a little more daring like a sequined dress, there's so many gorgeous dresses to chose from. You can use this as your staple piece in your look and work around it with the rest of your accessories. This is one to go for if you're after a quick and easy option. If you fancy going for something a little different, then a playsuit or jumpsuit can work in a similiar way but with a completely different style. Again, you can use it as your staple piece, especially if you stick with a bold colour or design. My favourite pieces are the Pink Pleated Culotte Style Jumpsuit and the Silver Sequin Dress

If you want to stay away from wearing an all in one piece, then a party appropriate top and bottoms are the next perfect option for you! You have the option of either keeping your top half looking glamorous and go for a simple bottom half, this could mean going with the silver sequin cami top and then pairing it with the black tube skirt. The other alternative is by switching the two, such as having the plain black camisole top with the metallic look skirt. Or you could go for combine the two! If you don't fancy going for a classic top style, you can also go for a body-suit which work wonders when it comes to tucking your top into your bottom half and doesn't mean you get any lines or bumps where the piece is tucked in. There's one item in particular I am swooning over, I mean, how gorgeous is the Rose Gold Satin Choker top? I'm in love with it and need it in my life asap.
Moving onto the bottom half section of your outfit, as I mentioned above you can either keep it simple, go all out or have the same on the top as the bottom. I've picked out a mixture of the two with these pieces. If you wanted to keep your top half the star of the show, pairing it with a pair of black jeans can really help to not only keep all the attention on your top half, but also dress up it up, taking it from being a casual piece to more of a formal number. There are also a number of statement skirts included, which will be great paired with either more toned down top styles or also paired with other glamorous pieces that go well together. The White Crepe Side Split Culottes can also add a touch of sophistication to any look and can also easily be paired with so many different top half options.
Of course when it comes to party season shoes, you're going to want to put on your finest heels! Again, you have the option of keeping it simple with your shoe choice or going all out there. Metallic's are great for being bold and keeping in with the festive theme. There's the gorgeous rose gold court shoes or gold ankle strap styles which I love. But you could also go for the glitter ankle boots that would look perfect with any casual-dressy looks you might be going for. If you want to keep things more on the relaxed side, then a plain black heel whether that's a court or lace up ankle style might be the one you decide to go for.
Moving onto more accessories, you're probably going to want to be carrying around a small style bag if you're planning on partying the night away. Clutches or shoulder bags are perfect for this. You can also use them as your statement piece in your look if the rest of your look is quite simple. Bags such as the silver metallic clutch and mermaid sequin bag are great examples of statement clutches. If you want more of a tone down option to let other pieces in your outfit do the talking or keep with your overall simplistic theme, then a plain black velvet clutch or red square cross body bag would be ideal for this. Remember to think practical, but also what works well with your look!

In terms of other accessories, you can add a series of jewellery pieces to your look. Whether you fancy going for an on trend choker with your look, perhaps some statement glitzy earrings or edgy hoops, a pretty bracelet, your favourite designer watch or a series of rings upon your fingers, keep to your theme or your favourite style when adding the finishing touches to your party look.

What's your favourite piece? What are you planning on wearing this party season?
