3 Affordable Highlighting Palettes
08:00
Highlighting palettes seem to be everywhere across the drugstore right now, giving us the opportunity to create a glowing and healthy finish to our skin, which is absolutely perfect for the summer months ahead. I've got quite a few palettes within my collection that I'm always reaching for that have a range of wearable shades. I thought I would share with you 3 affordable highlighting palettes that you must check out the next time you're wandering down the high street.
A new addition to my collection and one of my current favourites right now is this copper packaged quad palette. Not only does this look good from just the packaging alone, but this also is one of such great quality. This is the Bronze...Highlight and Glow kit from Primark's (yes, you read that right, Primark!!!) makeup range. For just £4 you get four beautiful shades that come in large pans, so you'll no doubt get lots of wear out of each shade. This palette reminds me of the Anastasia Beverly Hill's glow kits and could easily be classed as a dupe for them. The shades are so smooth and crazy pigmented when swatched and applied onto the face. I couldn't get over how good the quality was for such an affordable palette! This one in particular would be perfect for the summer season as the shade names are all related to the summertime; sunbeam (an icy pearl), Siesta (an almost rose gold), Sundown (a warm peach) and Pool Party (a gold). I'd highly recommend this one! For the price you really cannot go wrong nor will you be let down by it.
Next up is one of my all time favourites and one I'll always be repurchasing (especially since I've just recently hit pan on it after a years usage) is the Sleek Solstice palette. This has been a firm favourite amongst beauty lovers for a while now, so if you haven't got it already, you really do need to! It's 100% worth the hype. The swoon worthy gold reflective packaging with the four most gorgeous shades inside, it's one I continuously reach for all year round. I can't get enough of it. There's three soft and crazy pigmented powders and also a smooth subtle cream shade inside the Solstice palette. For £10 you really do get your money's worth with this one. It's just a really great all around product that is a huge must have in my opinion! Seriously if you haven't got it, make sure you do go get it, you'll love it so much.
A palette that definitely offers you a range of choice and caters for all skin tones is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Glow palette. Also priced at £10 this palette offers you eight easy to wear highlighting shades to achieve that gorgeous glow. I think if you're starting out with makeup or highlighters, this this would be the ultimate palette to start off with as you have so many different shades to work with and see what will suit you best. It's also a great all year round palette, as you can wear the more warmer tones throughout the summer months and the more cooler tones during the winter time.
Again these powders are smooth and soft on the skin. Other Makeup Revolution powders I have tried sometimes have the tendency to be chalky, but these are completely different. As you can see from my palette above, there has been one shade in particular that has been very well loved and I've sadly hit pan on it. But if you're more lighter toned like me, then this gorgeous peach shade from the palette is definitely one you'll fall in love with. I have a whole review post on this palette here if you want to learn more!
