Primark Haul - Spring 2016
11:30Who doesn't love a Primark haul? After tweeting asking whether people would prefer to see a Primark Haul or my choice of spring Primark picks for a new post on my blog. I think it's clear to say that most people went for the haul option. So I thought I would share with you a few items that I've picked up recently from Primark. The items that I've managed to pick up are great pieces to start your Spring wardrobe off for this new season. Oh and prepare yourself for a lot of stripes and blue!
White & blue pinstriped shirt - £10.00:
The first item is this white and blue pinstriped shirt. It's a collarless v-neck styled shirt, which I love because I think a v-neck is very flattering. It's also great if you're short like me, because it creates an illusion of a longer upper body. This shirt also has buttons which do up along the middle front, as well as rolled up sleeves which also button up. Again, if you're one the short side. I would say avoid rolling the sleeves down, because on me the sleeves drown my little arms. They're best kept rolled up and buttoned back. Also I love the fit of this. It's not as baggy as expected, but again it is not tight fitting. It's just in the middle which is perfect. Although I would recommend sizing up if you want more of a loser fit. This shirt would be great for casual everyday look's, such as some skinny jeans, a jacket and some flat shoes to create that perfect spring look. However you could also dress up this shirt up for more formal events like going out dinner or for some drinks and even could be a work outfit option.
Denim pinafore dress - £12.00:
I have been after a denim pinafore the longest time!!! I was so happy when I saw this super affordable one in Primark and was so fortunate when it fit me like a glove. It's not too long on my short frame, if anything it could be perhaps do with being a tad longer, since it can often rid up on me. A great feature on this pinafore is that it has adjustable straps which was what I was after. Other pinafores I had tried on before that didn't have this option, resulting in a gappy and low down top section of the front of the pinafore. For me this is the perfect shade of denim. I can get away with wearing this all year round since it's more of a mid tone. Also I love how versatile pinafores are! I can literally wear this with so many different things within my wardrobe and create so many different looks from doing so. I really believe pinafores are a great investment piece for anyone!
Cotton blue print shorts - £2.50:
Every summer, I'm always looking for some just casual yet comfy shorts to throw on in the evenings or chill around the house in during the day. I spotted these ones in Primark and I instantly fell in love with the print. I was a bit unsure of whether they would cover my bum, since no one wants to be that girl with her ass cheek's hanging out the bottom of her shorts, but thankfully they fitted and covered that part of my body up! I'm glad I got this earlier on, as I know that things like this in Primark sell out fast, especially if you're in the average size bracket. I can't wait till Summer comes around it get's a little warmer, so I pop these on and be super comfy! Also these could be used for pyjama shorts which I was going to use them for that reason if they didn't cover my bum up haha.
Blue and white print dress - £10.00:
Another blue item. I know. So adventuress with my colour choices haha! I love the print on this dress. It's slightly similiar to the shorts that I mentioned above. Again it's a v-neck style and comes with turned up sleeves that button up. It also has the feature of a small tanned belt that helps to nip in your waist and make you look slimmer. This dress comes to just the middle of the thigh on me, so again the perfect fit for my petite frame. I think this will be a great day dress, to wear with some brown loafers or lace up flats during the spring. In the summer, you could pair it with some heeled lace up sandals or flat gladiators. Also it could be dressed up for meals out. Another great addition to my wardrobe and one that will sure to get a lot of wear out of.
White and black striped high neck t-shirt - £4.00:
I'm obsessed with stripes at the moment, which is pretty obvious, so I just had to have this t-shirt. Plus it's so affordable too, so I couldn't not make a purchase on this item. It has a high neck, which is bang on trend at the moment, like it has been the past few seasons. The sleeves on this top aren't competently short, but they're not long enough to be a 3/4 length. I'd say they're somewhere in the middle, which is great for this time of the year as it's still a little chilly and you want to keep your arms warm under a jacket. Because of this I think I'll get wear out of this top right through until autumn time when it starts getting colder again after the spring/summer months. This top is just a great everyday piece, I can throw on with some jeans or tucked into a skirt to create a different look. Also this look's great under the denim pinafore above. They also had this in black with a white stripe!
Blue and white striped body-con dress - £5.00:
Another striped item! I've been after a striped dress for a while now. I wanted one of more of t-shirt fit, but I saw this for £5 and I thought why not? It's affordable, I like the blue and white colour striped, it's a body con style so it will flatter my figure and it had a scoop neck which is also flattering on petite girls. Again it came up to a great length on me. I'm so impressed with Primark sizing lately. The material of this piece is so comfy and soft too, so it's great for those more casual days when you're just chilling or popping out and about for a few hours. I could see myself wearing this during the summer months with some sandals or cute flats.
Tan suede lace up heeled sandals - £14.00:
As soon as I saw these, I knew I just had to have them! Tan is a great colour for the spring and summer. Plus the lace up trend has been around for the past couple of seasons and isn't going anywhere any time soon. These shoes are actually really comfy due to the block heeling. I can't wait to wear these for more formal occasion's and when the weather is nice. There's so many things from this haul that these will go with and other items within my wardrobe. Another really great versatile piece, that can add an extra detail to any casual outfit and take it from day to night if that is what you desire.
So there you have it. My Primark haul. A lot of blue and striped pieces were featured. But blue is very popular this season, so no wonder I found so many gorgeous pieces I liked. I can't wait to wear all of these.
If you guys like, I might do some sort of outfit post or a spring look book featuring some of these items? Let me know if you would like that. I really want to add more fashion posts to my blog, since when I first started this blog that was my main passion. I love blogging about fashion! So please do let me know what you would like to see.
What's your favourite piece from this haul? Have you purchased anything from Primark recently? Let me know!
