Spring Go To Lipsticks
11:30Spring is my absolute favourite season by far! It's the perfect time to bring out those bright, bold and pink lip shades from your make-up collection. I've already started to wear a lighter lip colour already this season. It just helps to make you whole face look so more up lifted and fresh, the perfect appearance for this time of the year. I've decided today to share with you the four lipstick's I'm going to be reaching for over the next few months. Hopefully this will help you to whip out those spring shades and rock a bright lip for the new season!
MAC - SNOB
The very first lipstick I ever bought from Mac and as you can see the most loved out of the bunch. It's the perfect colour for spring. It's a cool toned light pink with a slight lilac undertone to it. It's not too bright due to the coolness of it, but it's quite a bold striking light pink colour. This lipstick from Mac is a satin finish. This is my favourite finish out of all the finishes you can get. Therefore, it isn't completely matte, it's just in the middle and I have never had any drying problems with this lipstick. So if any of you are interested in this shade and might be worried about it being drying, have no fear because it doesn't feel drying on the lips at all. A great spring shade that you can get so much wear out of everyday!
RIMMEL LONDON - AS YOU WANT VICTORIA
This shade is a great for swapping that dark vampy lip colour you've been wearing through the autumn/winter for this bold and vibrant dark pink shade! The formula of this lipstick is very moisturising and you do have to be careful to avoid any smudging, as this does have the tendency to smudge a little when applying. Although because of this it is highly pigmented! One application does the job. This shade is great for all skin tones and perfect for night outs. Or if you're feeling more daring, then rock it during the day and go all out for the new season!
RIMMEL LONDON - PINK BLUSH
Slightly similiar to Snob, but this lipstick by Rimmel is a lot lighter and bright! It's a great light pink shade, that is subtle yet pretty on the lips. The finish of this is quite similiar to a satin finish much like Snob again. It's not drying at all, but it's not moisturising enough to class it as being more of a cream finish. I really love wearing this during the Spring time. It really does help to make you feel brighter and more fresh. It's also the perfect go to girly shade and one to wear for more natural looks.
MAC - BRAVE
Another Mac lipstick and one that has been featured on my blog before, but Brave is a great transition colour and one to wear at the beginning of Spring. It's what could be described as a 'your lips but better' shade. It consists of a nudey rosy colour and again it's a satin finish. It's not too dark for this time of the year, but again it's not the brightest of lip colours that you could for. That's why it makes such a great transition lipstick. Also it works well for those days during the Spring when it's a little cloudy and dull, when you want a little bit of uplifting during the miserable weather, but nothing that is too bold and powerful on the lips!
