Shopping during this time of the year can be hard when you get to that in between season, where we're approaching the end of the summer, but it's still not quite yet autumn. You find yourself wondering aimlessly around the shops or scrolling through pages online, wondering what to buy and if you'll get much wear out of it as we transition into a new season. Today's post is going to be 10 pieces you can buy to wear now and continue on wearing through into the next season making your shopping experience a little easier.
Denim skirts made a come back last year with the seventies trend being a big hit and a year on this trend is still very much a firm favourite upon the UK high street. For me I see the denim skirt as being a staple, a must have in your wardrobe and definitely one that screams versatility. Now it's summer, it's a great time to invest one if you haven't already. The great thing about this piece is you can continue to wear this kind of skirt all year round. In today's post, I am going to be showing you how you can wear a denim skirt through each season, as well as how you can style it to suit different occasions.
The summer months are well underway now, even though it doesn't feel like it much here in the U.K but you might be escaping our terrible weather and off on a summer holiday somewhere full of sunshine and lots of warmth. Even though I'm not heading off anywhere that fits that description, I still have gathered a few ideas together to create a beach wear edit that you can take inspiration from for days out to the beach whether you're staying at home or venturing away!
Swimwear is a major essential when it come to your beach wear. Even if you don't fancy going into the water, you still want to put on some form of beach wear to relax on the sand and catch a few sun rays to kick start that tan. The two swim wear picks I have gone for include this tropical inspired bikini set from Topshop and this plunge front cross strap black swimsuit from Boohoo. Both of these are flattering pieces and would easily work well with other garments. Plus I think it's always great to have a mixture of both fun prints and plain simple pieces in your swimwear collection.
When heading down to the beach or even when you just want a bit of a cover up to feel comfortable, there's plenty of pieces you can throw on under your swimwear. Having a light weight, airy and easy to wear cover up like this white lace cover-up from River Island is ideal for wearing under your swimwear, as well helping you to look extra chic. You can also wear everyday pieces like these white embodied shorts from H&M and the short red crochet top from Zara for holiday friendly, super cute look. Playsuit's and dresses are also great through on items, such as this khaki front frill bardot midi dress from New Look for a bit of colour and the parasian blue embroidered playsuit also from New Look. Embrodiary is a big trend for summer 2016, so wearing this feature will ensure you're still looking super stylish whilst away!
In terms of shoes and accessories, the go to shoe for me is something that will be super comfortable if you're walking down to the beach, but also something that is easy to slip on and off when you hit the sand, as well as keeping your feet cool and preventing overheating. Flat sandals are also big this summer, so why not go for something like these black ankle strap sandals from New Look that easily fit the beach appropriate shoe guide above and can also be used for night wear! Of course, you also want a cute beach bag to carry all your essentials down to the beach with you. As soon as I saw this watermelon beach bag from ASOS I fell in love with it. How adorable?! And last but nowhere means least, probably one of the most important things when going away and venturing out in the sun is a pair of sunglasses. Again, I fell in love with these pink round sunglasses from Topshop and think they'd make the perfect holiday accessory.

We all know that jeans are a major wardrobe staples in absolutely everyone's wardrobe, from old to young, female to male, we all at least have one pair lying around the place. But as a petite girl, I know the struggles of trying to find that perfect pair of jeans. Even if you're not small like me, you might know what I'm talking about and can refer to a time when you've found yourself in this situation. Today's post will hopefully help you get out of that place and be able to find that perfect pair of jeans with some super easy to follow tips.
The weather in the UK is never predictable that it's almost too predictable. The typical British summer time is often described as consistent rain and very little sun. Already at the beginning of June we've had this exact weather. It can be difficult to know how to dress during a rainy summer. It's too hot to throw on your winter coat, but it's too wet to go out without a cover up. I thought I would put together an outfit guide in how you can dress for a days like this and bid farewell to those morning struggles of deciding what to wear during a rainy summer.
I've been wanting to incorporate more fashion and style posts into my blog for the longest time. Since I have no confidence to pose in front of a camera showing off my own outfits or wardrobe pieces, I thought why not just throw together a series over on my blog hugely inspired by HelloFashion's magazine articles. 1 Buy - 4 Ways showcases one item that can easily be used to create different looks to suit a range of occasion's, as well as trying to keep it as budget friendly as possible. We all know I love a good bargain!!
I've wanted to do a What's In My Bag post for the longest time, but never known which bag to feature on my blog since I own quite a few. But when I purchased this bag a few weeks back, I knew this would be the one to make an appearance on my blog. I thought I would share with you a few things that I've been carrying around with me lately.
I am so happy that we're in May now and the weather has decided to finally follow through with gorgeous sunshine and warmth. It's about time since it's technically Summer next month. It's time to start dressing according to the season. Start swapping your spring picks for more summer related pieces that suit our weather here in the UK. I've got 5 casual everyday outfits that will get you ready for the summer.

My birthday will be just two weeks away tomorrow. I always have the issue where I never really know what I want in the week's leading up, but then day's after I have a whole list of things that I would like. It's always the way, isn't it?
But I feel like I have a small bundle of things that I would love to receive this year and would feel so grateful for. To be honest, I'm more than happy with anything receive. It doesn't take a lot to please me and I would make good use of anything.
So to anyone in my family, boyfriend or friends who might be reading this and wondering what to get me this year. Here's some ideas for you, if you're struggling and really do have no idea what to get. Aside from presents though, I'd honestly just love if I got to spend the day with my favourite people, stuffing my face with yummy cake and having a day free from anxiety.
Sorry this post is a little short, but there's not much to really say than to just simply show you what sort of things I've got on my list and the kind of day I would like to have this year. I can't believe I'm going to be nineteen this year. My last year of being a teenager. That makes me feel really sad. I don't want to grow up and finally accept I'm an adult now. Can't we just reverse the years?
I hope you're all having a lovely sunday or whatever day it may be when you're reading this.
What's on your wishlist at the moment? Is it your birthday soon? If so, what have you got planned or hoping for this time round?

One statement piece I believe everyone should be adding to their spring/summer wardrobe this year is a pinafore. With pinafores, you're not restricted to just one look or style. You can go for whatever theme you like. There's so many different types of textures and colours to choose from when shopping, sometimes you're almost too spoilt for choice. Plus you don't have to just wear it through the warmer months, you can easily take it through to next autumn/winter and have it as an all year round staple.
The days of wearing a pinafore and being worried you'll look like a young girl off to primary school are over. And here's why.
Who doesn't love a Primark haul? After tweeting asking whether people would prefer to see a Primark Haul or my choice of spring Primark picks for a new post on my blog. I think it's clear to say that most people went for the haul option. So I thought I would share with you a few items that I've picked up recently from Primark. The items that I've managed to pick up are great pieces to start your Spring wardrobe off for this new season. Oh and prepare yourself for a lot of stripes and blue!
- Warmth - I'm hopeful of this. If you're from the UK you'll understand why!
- Breeze in the air
- The sun waking you up in the morning - this makes it ten times easier to get out of bed.
- Long days with more light - I hate winter. It get's dark far too early for my liking.
- Flowers - who doesn't love seeing pretty flowers everywhere?
- Long walks - I love going for walks, especially with someone else for good company.
- Less clothing - less layers, shorter sleeves, no more tights and winter coats!
- Easter!!!!
- Bright or pastel coloured nails - I love a good bright or pastel nail colour this time of the year.
- Lighter and brighter clothing - Get rid of those dull autumn/winter colours and had add some bright pieces into your wardrobe.
- New fashion season!!! - I love spring/summer fashion. It beats autumn/winter fashion hands down.
- Staying outside for longer - actually being able to stand or sit outside without your whole body being frozen with the cold.
- Fresh air
- Iced drinks - I'm so excited for the ice cold drinks that you can get from Costa's spring/summer menu.
- Blue skies
- Fresh fruit - I'm so much more motivated to eat healthy in the warmer months, who else feels like this too?
- The smell of freshly cut grass!!!!
- Picnics - I hardly ever go on picnics. This seriously need's to change this spring.
- Easter eggs and chocolate - I'm so buzzing and ready to wake up to Easter chocolate on Easter Sunday. The only time you can eat chocolate without feeling guilty.
- Feeling more positive - I personally feel more positive and motivated during spring/summer than I do in autumn/winter. It definitely has something to do with the warmer and sunnier weather.
