Improving my skin is always something I'll always work hard towards, which I'm sure a lot of you will also be able to agree with. Skin care is so important. Even if you have amazing skin and have very little problems with it, there's probably a routine or a particular thing you do to try maintain this. Unless you're really blessed with flawless skin, then please do remain forever grateful. But for those of us who have issues, then I've got 14 ways you can take better care of your skin.
I think one of the worst things when it comes to having a makeup collection is when you hit pan on a product. This term is well known throughout the beauty world as being the moment when you're most used product that has been so well loved hits the bottom of the pan and you can see the base/packaging underneath where the actual product once was. I thought I'd share with you some of the products within my own collection that have sadly hit pan.
We all dread that certain chore that comes with being makeup obsessed. You know the one that you always put off and once it is finally done it's a massive relief. Yes, I am on about cleaning your makeup brushes, those tools you use pretty much everyday to create a flawless base, perfect your go to smokey eye, to get your brows on 'fleek' and get that pop of highlighter on your cheek that would blind anyone in a five foot radius (highlighter obsessed girl's you'll know exactly what I mean.).
You know me, always trying to up my skin care game and really find products that work well for me. So when I saw these L'Oreal Clay Mask's floating around the beauty world and knowing they were on offer at Boot's, I couldn't resist hunting one down and trying it for myself. Even though it took me a while to find one since they were all pretty much sold out everywhere I went, I managed to pick up one of the Detox masks. Over the past couple of weeks, I have been trying out this mask a few times a week and have seen evidently results in the changes this mask has brought to my skin.
Now it's coming toward's the end of the summer, I thought it was only right I highlighted some of my favourite makeup products I've been loving this summer. Most you will probably have seen on my blog before if you're an avid reader, but even so here are some of the products I have been using a lot this summer and have basically been obsessed with!
We've all been there. We've all had at least one day when we've had a bad hair day and if you say you haven't, then you clearly must be lying. There's nothing worse than when you're in a rush or have an important day ahead of you when you're running around like a headless chicken trying to get ready, you come to sort out your hair and for whatever reason it just won't go right. You're having one of those days we like to call a bad hair day and you have no idea how to deal with the problem. However there a few tips I'm going to share with you that you might want to try to disguise your bad hair day.
If you're makeup obsessed, then it is more than likely that you'll have a makeup collection that is growing bigger by the day. Some products you end up pushing to the back of your draw, reaching for new ones and your most loved picks. You'll soon find yourself with another collection of products that go unused. Rather than keeping these products hidden away and unloved, why not do something with them? Here's what to do with unused beauty products:
I go through phases every so often where I either invest in new products and fall in love with them instantly, or end up rekindling my love for an older product within my beauty collection. This month I have some new loves in my beauty life. So I thought I would share the products I have been loving this month with you and hopefully somehow persuade you to also invest in these wonderful buys!
I think most people within the beauty world have gone slightly crazy for the latest lip release from Charlotte Tilbury, the Hot Lips collection showcasing 12 shades inspired by celebrities and 4 best sellers. When I found out that a Charlotte Tilbury counter was coming to my local area, I jumped at the chance of getting my hands on one of these lipsticks. Being a fan of the Kardashian's and also falling in love with the shade, I of course had to go for the inspired by Kim Kardashian West.
Everyone need's their perfect go to lip that works best for everyday and fits into whatever their schedule involves, whether that's a busy day of work ahead or a fun day out with the girls. There are three shades within my collection that are all slightly similiar in colour, but are great for suiting whatever kind of plans you have for that day. I'm going to be sharing these rosy pink shades with you and hopefully inspiring you to find your perfect lip shade and finish to suit whatever lifestyle you have.
When you're reading this, I shall be on my way back from my little trip away and hopefully will have hopefully used most of these products on my week away. It was only a four hour trip away to North Yorkshire/Newcastle for a few days with my family for the first time in years. This is the reason why this post is going up a day late (apologies for that.) So I thought why not share with you guys the products I have taken and (hopefully) been using over the week. Most of the products are used in my daily make-up routine, so I guess this is two posts in one in some way.
Within the past few years, my obsession for all things beauty and make-up has grown massively. It was one of the reasons what prompted me to start this blog. With an ever growing collection of make-up and a interest in trying out different products, I've found a few product types that I know I couldn't live without, whether this is applying them during my daily make-up routine or essentials I love to use to make a difference to how I look.
Aside from lip products, the other beauty product I seem to have a never ending collection of is nail polishes. I have a range of shades, some perfect for autumn/winter and others that are perfect for spring/summer. But there are a few shades within my collection that are great for all year round. So if you're like me and need to cut down your vanish collection, then I have gathered 5 shades that are more than suitable for all year round wear.
Nude/Rose - A nude or a rosy nude colour is perfect for all year round wear. It's an everyday appropriate shade that you could quite easily wear to work and still remain looking professional. Plus it easily goes with so much. You can wear a lot of other shades with this colour as it's quite a natural kind of shade and not too out of there. Everyone need's a pinky nude shade in their collection!
White - Most people will wear white throughout the summer when they have a bit of tan, because let's not lie, this is when this shade look's best! But there's nothing wrong with wearing this shade all year round. Again because it's neutral you can get away with wearing it with absolutely everything. The only down side to a shade like this is trying not to look like you've just tippexed your fingers, so make sure when you're picking out a white shade it actually look's like polish.
Taupe - Another easy to wear nude is a taupe colour. This colour look's great all year round because it's bang in the middle of the nudes. It isn't too light or cool, neither is it too dark or warm. Also could be used for professional occasions, but overall one you could wear for everyday. You could easily wear this with an all overall neutral outfit or pair it with more of a stand out coloured outfit.
Red - Red is such a classic shade that it is no surprise that this shade would mention in this post! It's probably one of the shades you would 100% associate with being an all rounder. I think this nail shade also look's great for more formal and professional events, as well as looking great around the festive season. Yet you could still wear this throughout the warmer months because it works just as well.
Black - Black outfits are so easy to wear and put together, the same applies when it comes to wearing black on your nails. This colour goes with so much, so you will never struggle to pair it with any kind of coloured garment in your wardrobe. Whilst it might be a bit too out of there and unprofessional in the work place, for everyday wear and at more relaxed events black is a great go to shade that suits everyone.
What nail shades do you wear all year round?

Changing up my lip colour is one of my favourite things about choosing what makeup I'm going to go for that day. It's probably one of the few things that I do like to switch up from time to time, where as the rest of my routine pretty much stays the same. For summer I thought I would refresh my choice in colour with some lip products that are different from my spring lip choices (find them here). Here's what summer lip products I'll be reaching for over the next few months.
There's a range of different beauty tools to chose from to help you solve a beauty mishap or achieve a greater application when it comes to applying your make-up. Because of this wide selection, it's always a great idea to make sure you have the essentials and to not get too overwhelmed by too many products for different things. Here's my 5 essential beauty tools that I believe everyone need's...
I sometimes find end of month posts sometimes a little tedious and I never always have enough things to show you each month that are different. Instead I thought I would showcase some products that I've been loving this month. They're mainly beauty/make-up which may not come as any surprise to you haha. Enjoy!
After so many of you recommended this to me, I finally went to Lush and bought Mask of Magnaminty. I'm really excited to share with you my views on this, since the last Lush mask I reviewed went down really well (read here) and I would love for you guys to find out whether or not I thought this mask lives up to the hype it has surrounding it.
I'm all for affordable make-up and shopping for great quality pieces when you're on a budget. Most of my make-up collection is made up of drug store make-up and a small segment of that is made up of budget friendly highlighters. I absolutely love highlighters, so why not do a post showcasing some of my favourite budget highlighters that you might want to invest in also if you haven't already.
In life we're always taught to play by the rules, but sometimes taking a risk can be beneficial to us. The same applies when it comes to beauty. We're always advised to follow the rules, that will hopefully in return help us to achieve the best results. Sometimes we can take a risk when it comes to beauty too.
Berry lips are usually associated with the colder months, e.g autumn and winter. But what if we wore them throughout spring and summer? Is there anyone to say we can't do that? Is there a problem with doing that? Of course not! It can work. It does work. Berry lips hit the 2016 Spring/Summer runways, with fashion models supporting darker hues, proving to us that berry lips aren't just for autumn/winter and are going to be big this spring/summer.
Here's how you can rock a berry lip this spring/summer and keep bang on the beauty trends.
The greatest thing ever happened a couple of weekends ago, my local boots store finally got a NYX stand!!! I was so excited when I found out that we were getting one and I made sure that I got there early the day it was launching to have one long browse of the new stand. I could have spent so much since there was so many things to chose from, but I managed to restrict myself to four items. Although since then I have been back and got more woops. But here's a haul of what I got and a few first impressions.
